Tax Researcher Intern
Application Deadline: December 6, 2021
The Tax Researcher takes incoming federal and state tax-related questions from clients and potential clients primarily via social media, phone, and email.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Communicate via phone, chat, and email with clients and potential clients to understand their tax question(s).

Ask tax questions and document relevant facts and circumstances in an association tax management system, enabling other experienced tax professionals to research and respond to inquiries promptly.

Keep up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, participating in professional organizations, keeping up with professional networks, and reading professional publications.

Weekly update tax news/knowledge on the firm's website and social media.

Other duties may be assigned based on tax knowledge.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of tax codes, regulations, theories, and practices applicable to all federal and state tax law areas.

Ability to understand and interpret tax and regulation language. Ability to listen to clients, and determine their needs.

Possess a high degree of skill in oral and written communication.

Good understanding of MS Office and accounting software.

Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
Job Type: Part-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday
